The Biden Administration is currently filling in its top cabinet positions and we are happy to see African Diaspora women nominated for significant roles. This March, for our Women HERstory Month Episode, we decided to feature some key women that will be helping shape both the Biden administration's domestic and foreign policies.

In November of 2020, Joseph R. Biden Jr. was elected 46th president of the United States of America. The African Diaspora for Biden Ethnic and Heritage Group under the African American Engagement Team of the Joe Biden Campaign played a crucial role in this unprecedented win. Tune in to the latest episode of Diaspora Talks where I discuss my involvement in this committee and the series of policies that the Biden Administration adopted due to the work of members of this steering committee.

2020 was a trying year for the whole world. We watched as our lives were paused due to COVID-19 but we also watched a series of social and cultural movements sweep the diaspora and our amazing continent. As North America and Europe serve as the epicenter for this latest pandemic, Africa seems to be avoiding a large spread of the virus.
