Mae Whiteside, PE, MBA, is the Founder and CEO of CKL Engineers, LLC, a nationally recognized civil engineering and construction management firm specializing in transportation and infrastructure projects. Over the past 15 years, she has grown CKL from a one-person operation into a multi-state company delivering Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services across highways, bridges, transit, aviation, local streets, and emerging data-center markets. A respected leader in infrastructure, workforce development, and equitable procurement, Mae has also served as an expert commentator for CBS News on issues impacting engineering and community-centered infrastructure. She is a graduate of Illinois Tech’s Armour College of Engineering and Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business. The American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC Georgia) is the voice of the business of engineering in Georgia. ACEC Georgia advocates for public policy and legislation that will improve the business climate for the engineering industry, promote economic development and protect the integrity of the engineering profession. ACEC Georgia programs and events provide unique business development opportunities, information on current trends and best practices as well as leadership training to develop the next generation of engineering industry leaders.
