Exposit: A Bible Study Podcast
In John 14:1–15, Jesus speaks directly into the confusion and fear of His disciples as they face His departure. What looks like loss is actually the beginning of deeper assurance. Jesus calls them away from troubled hearts and anchors their hope not in circumstances, but in Himself. In this episode of Exposit, we walk through Jesus’ words about the “Father’s house,” the promise of preparing a place, and the famous declaration: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Far from being a vague comfort about heaven, this passage reveals something far more grounded—the security of knowing Christ Himself is the destination. We also explore what it means that believers will do “greater works,” how prayer in Jesus’ name actually functions, and why love for Christ is inseparable from obedience to His commands. At its core, this text is not just about where we are going, but who we are going to. The comfort Jesus gives is not escape from the world, but certainty of union with Him in the presence of the Father—no matter what comes.
