Women’s Basketball: You Can’t Disrupt Us

Murriel was a forward [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_(basketball)] and center [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_(basketball)] in the Women's National Basketball Association [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_National_Basketball_Association] (WNBA) for eleven seasons. She played college basketball [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_basketball] for the University of Florida [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Florida], and was drafted in the first round of the 1998 WNBA Draft [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_WNBA_Draft]. She played professionally for the Washington Mystics [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Mystics] and the Los Angeles Sparks [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Sparks] of the WNBA. She is currently an assistant coach at Georgia Tech, and her team went to the round of 8 in the NCAA tournament last month. Murriel speaks with us about the WNBA, support from the NBA players for the professional women, and the challenges in reconciling the differences between the male and female professional leagues.  The details about the experience for the female basketball players in San Antonio in juxtaposition to the male players in Indianapolis are unbelievable.  Yet Murriel has a superpower… her serenity.  She is adamant, “Women’s basketball is a great product and no matter what you do, you can’t disrupt us.”  Murriel’s pearls of wisdom include advice to “control the controlables,” which are our attitude and effort.

Adam Weiss, Disruptor from the Kindergarten Classroom to the World of Finance

Join us for season 2 of Grand Rounds Podcast, Disruption. We welcome our brother, Adam Weiss.  He was a founding partner of Scout Capital, a hedge fund that closed in 2014.  Adam talks about Kindergarden disruption and financial disruption.  We tackle a conversation about gender and risk, competence and creative genius.  The urge to disrupt to destruct, and disruption for good.  We disrupt out of boredom, aggression, discomfort with authority, and in an attempt to solve a problem someone else should have been solving.  To some of us, the world doesn’t look right and we can’t resist meddling with it.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
