Grief as Fear
Morning Mantra: "No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear." If I had to guess I'd say that we are all grieving in some way right now. Some grieve for the loss of normalcy. Some for loss of work. Some for loss of freedom. Some for a loss of our connection to each other. Others for the loss what life was like before. And all of this grief is scary. So we feel fearful. Feeling this way is perfectly okay. But feelings should be acknowledged, not hidden or suppressed. Sit with your grief (fear). Breathe, and know that it will pass. Know that we will get through this. Maybe not today, but one day soon. I know that things can feel unbearable right now, but keep breathing. Again, and again, and again. Being Sensitive

Let Life Flow

That snippy waitress might be preparing for her last day with a loved one. Someone else might have just lost their job. Your stand-offish co-worker might be dealing with a troubled marriage. That guy that didn’t see that the light had turned green might be spaced out from just learning he has cancer. That woman panhandling in the parking lot might be living in her car after leaving an abusive relationship. Even those that appear super happy might be carrying some pain they aren’t ready to face.
