Indigenous Rights Radio
The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues 2026 session placed a strong emphasis on the theme of Indigenous peoples and health, recognizing that well-being extends far beyond clinical care. Convened under the United Nations, the forum brought together global stakeholders to examine how historical injustices, environmental pressures, and systemic inequalities continue to shape health outcomes in Indigenous communities. The 2026 discussions framed health as a holistic concept, deeply tied to land, culture, identity, and self-determination. Cultural Survival attended this year's forum and we interviewed some of the delegates who attended.
