episode Trailer Inside Dairy - Ornua market update, Kinisla and non-cycling cows cover

Beskrivelse

This week on Inside Dairy, we hear from Ornua’s Ciarán Aylward on the latest trends in dairy markets from supply and demand to future outlooks on milk price. CEO of Kinisla, formerly known as Kerry Dairy Ireland, Pat Murphy discusses the co-op’s name change and we review the performance of the business in 2025. With the weather forecast expected to pick up from the weekend and growth rates predicted to lift, managing grass quality and surpluses will be a challenge. Aidan Brennan and Daire Cregg discuss the best management practices for getting the next couple of weeks right. Finally, on the breakdown we take a look at submission rates and what to do with those cows in the herd that have not yet cycled. Hear all of this and more on this week’s Inside Dairy with Aidan Brennan and Daire Cregg. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. episode Young Stock Podcast - All things beef and grass with Nikki Kennedy cover

Young Stock Podcast - All things beef and grass with Nikki Kennedy

This week, Martin Merrick talks to Grass10 Advisor Nikkie kennedy on her moving to Ireland from New Zealand and her role as a Grass10 advisor, while the team also discuss BEEF 2026 and generational renewal. While we have featured plenty of young Irish people who have flown the nest to the southern hemisphere, this week we talk to someone who has done the opposite. A native of New Zealan, Nikki Kennedy first arrived in Ireland on Erasmus as part of her studies in third year and hasn’t really looked back since. Five and a half years later, the Kiwi talks about her time in Ireland, the similarities and differences between the two countries as well as her current role as a Grass10 advisor, encouraging drystock farmers to better manage their grass. The team also relay their day spent at BEEF 2026, with their thoughts on generational renewal now becoming a focus for Teagasc for drystock farms also discussed. Sarah also tries to unsuccessfully discuss Mercury going in to retrograde, which goes as well as would be expected. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
