Marc Armas: From Coast Guard Cutters to Complex Litigation

Marc spent five years on active duty in the Coast Guard, including an assignment to Cartagena, Columbia.  Since law school,  Marc served as a prosecutor at the Queens District Attorney’s Office, an Assistant US  Attorney in New Jersey, and is currently a partner at Avelino Law in New York City, where he is the Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

Kurt Perhach: Corporate Counsel, Lindbergh Kidnapping Litigator

Kurt spent five years on active duty, including a deployment to Iraq with 18th Airborne Corps.  Kurt currently serves as a Senior Counsel for West Pharmaceutical Services, as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, and, quite interestingly, as counsel in a case seeking to identify the perpetrators in the 94-year old mystery involving the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh’s baby.

Ben Grimes: Blackhawk Pilot, JAG, Career Coach

Ben is a former Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot and a retired US Army JAG.  After his retirement from the active-duty Army, he served for seven years in the  Department of Justice’s Professional Responsibility Advisory Office. Ben is currently a Lecturer in Law at Columbia University Law School and the Principal at Alturos Edge, where he helps grow the next generation of lawyers by focusing on legal ethics, professional responsibility, and professionalism.

Sasha Rutizer: Chief of Staff, Alexandria, Virginia Police Department

Sasha retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving over 20 years on active duty and in the Army Reserve, including four years as a Military Judge.  Sasha has also worked for the National District Attorneys Association, as a federal prosecutor, and as a Chief of Staff for two divisions of the Department of Justice.  Listen in for insightful thoughts from Sasha on how Stoicism has shaped her outlook on life and her career, and helped her overcome adversity.
