Beskrivelse

As we close out our Rooted and Growing series, we’re ending with one of the most encouraging truths in all of Scripture: God is still at work in you. Growth doesn’t always happen where everyone can see it. Just like a tree develops deep roots beneath the surface before reaching higher into the sky, God often does His greatest work in the hidden places of our hearts. Even when progress feels slow, the Holy Spirit is shaping your character, strengthening your faith, and making you more like Jesus. In today’s episode, Pastor Adam reflects on Philippians 2:13 and reminds us that spiritual growth isn’t something we accomplish on our own. God is actively working within us—changing not only what we do, but even what we desire. And before we wrap up this special week, a huge thank-you goes out to my brother, Josh Howard, and nephew, Noah Howard, for lending their voices and bringing some extra fun to the podcast. If you heard a voice this week and thought, “Wait… that’s not Pastor Adam,” you weren’t wrong! There was a Salty Studio takeover this week as Josh and Noah proved they were more than ready for the microphone. Today’s Salty Thought: God is doing more beneath the surface than you can see above it. Scripture: “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” — Philippians 2:13 (ESV) Thank you for joining us this week as we’ve explored what it means to be rooted and growing in Christ. Keep trusting the Gardener—He’s not finished with you yet. Stay salty, stay faithful, and season your day with Scripture.

Psalm 131—A Quiet Soul

When was the last time your soul felt truly quiet? In today's episode of Morning Salt, we slow down and reflect on the beautiful words of Psalm 131. In just three short verses, David reminds us that lasting peace isn't found when life gets quieter—it's found when our hearts learn to rest in God. Join me as we discover how a quiet soul can transform even the busiest day. Scripture: Psalm 131 Today's Salty Thought: A peaceful life begins with a quiet soul. Today's Step: Take one minute today to pause, breathe deeply, and pray, "Lord, quiet my soul." Let yourself simply rest in His presence before moving on with your day. If Morning Salt is helping you begin your mornings with God's Word, I'd be honored if you'd follow the podcast and share it with a friend. Together, let's keep learning to notice God's presence in the ordinary moments of life. Stay salty, stay faithful and season your day with scripture.

Isaiah 28:16 – The Pace of Trust

Some days feel rushed before they even begin. Our calendars are full, our minds are racing, and it's easy to believe that everything depends on us. But Isaiah 28:16 offers a different invitation. One translation says, "The one who believes will not act hastily." Faith has a different pace than fear. In today's episode of Morning Salt, we'll discover how trusting God allows us to slow down, notice His presence, and walk through the day with confidence instead of anxiety. Scripture: Isaiah 28:16 Today's Salty Thought: Faith doesn't make us move faster. It gives us the confidence to walk at God's pace. Today's Step: The next time you catch yourself hurrying today, pause for just a few seconds. Take a deep breath and quietly pray, "Lord, thank You for already being here." Then continue your day with the confidence that you're walking with Him, not running ahead of Him. If Morning Salt has become part of your morning routine, would you take a moment to follow the podcast and leave a rating or review? It helps more people discover these daily moments in God's Word. And if today's episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who could use a little peace in the middle of a busy day. Have a blessed day, and remember... stay salty, stay faithful, and season your day with scripture.

Matthew 11:28 - The Weight You Were Never Meant to Carry

What are you carrying today that Jesus never asked you to carry? Sometimes our greatest exhaustion doesn’t come from doing too much—it comes from trying to carry things that only God was meant to hold. In today’s Morning Salt conversation, Pastor Adam reflects on Matthew 11:28 and shares a personal lesson God has been teaching him about surrender, control, and finding true rest in Christ. Jesus doesn’t invite us to come to Him once we’ve figured everything out. He simply says, “Come to Me.” What a beautiful invitation as we head into the weekend. Today's Scripture: Matthew 11:28 Today’s Salty Thought: Peace begins where control ends. Today’s Challenge: Before your day is over, take one burden you’ve been carrying and intentionally hand it to Jesus in prayer. Name it. Release it. Then trust Him to carry what you cannot. If Morning Salt is helping you begin your mornings grounded in God’s Word, I’d love for you to follow the podcast and share today’s conversation with someone who may need this reminder. I pray you have a restful weekend as you walk closely with Jesus. Until Monday…stay salty, stay faithful, and season your weekend with Scripture.

Psalm 37:3—The Beautiful Life Nobody Applauds

We live in a world that celebrates the spectacular. The next promotion. The next milestone. The next big achievement. But what if God is looking for something much simpler? In today’s Morning Salt conversation, Pastor Adam reflects on Psalm 37:3 and shares how God has been teaching him to stop measuring life by success and start measuring it by faithfulness. The ordinary moments of obedience may never make headlines, but they always matter to God. Today's Scripture: Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness." —Psalm 37:3 (ESV) Today’s Salty Thought: God hasn’t called us to be impressive. He’s called us to be faithful. Today’s Challenge: Ask yourself today: “What would faithfulness look like in the very next thing I have to do?” Then trust the Lord…and simply do that one thing well. If Morning Salt is helping you begin your mornings grounded in God’s Word, I’d love for you to follow the podcast and share today’s conversation with someone who needs this reminder. Until next time...stay salty, stay faithful, and season your day with scripture.
