People Unfiltered welcomes author Anthony P. Carter who shares with you his story and the legacy that he's built across industries. He retired in 2015 as Chief Diversity Officer at Johnson & Johnson; he is recognized as a public relations legend by the New York City Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America; he's currently an Executive Committee Member of the Board of Trustees for Fordham University, his alma mater; and he's the author of “This I know: Principles for a Life of Faith and Optimism”. Starting from the tragic loss of his parents very early in life, Anthony centered his life around God and the Catholic Church, embodying a deep love for humanity as God's children. This core belief carried him throughout his life and career. His 40 year career included serving as press secretary for New York's first Black Mayor, David Dinkins for whom he shares a deep personal affection and respect.

Carol Frazer Haynesworth joins us this month on People Unfiltered to share her extraordinary story. Born and raised in Honduras as the daughter of a mining executive, Carol's formative years were spent living in the mining camps along with families from all over the world. That unique experience shaped her perspective and informs her worldview on the commonalities that unite us all. Carol is a Honduran, afro Latina, Garifuna guided by her faith and her relentless pursuit of excellence. We are honored to share her inspiring story and words with you.

For over 15 years Sulma Arzu-Brown has been working professionally as a champion for Diversity and Inclusion; well before the term became a trending topic. Sulma is a proud Garifuna, Afro-Latina born in Honduras and raised in the South Bronx. She’s the award-winning author of children’s book "Bad Hair Does Not Exist/Pelo Malo No Existe", and "My Hair Comes With Me- Shifting the Paradigm of What Success Looks Like". She is a mentor for Scholastic series Rising Voices: Elevating Latino Stories along side Dr. Maria Armstrong and John Liguezamo. Her most recent history making endeavors include being the Co-founder and Executive Director of Storyland - The Bronx Book Haven.

Melanie Luna, a visual artist and the Associate Director of Duckworth Gallery in Red Hook Brooklyn, joins the podcast to discuss how diversity is ... or is not... found in the art world.
