episode Pathological Altruism cover

Beskrivelse

In this episode, Scott explores Barbara Oakley’s concept of Pathological Altruism and dives deep into the world of repression inquiry. Scott explains how many acts of service, often perceived as altruistic, are actually driven by a hidden need to feel safe and gain love or approval. By burying these unconscious motivations along with difficult emotions, we create false identities based on being “good” or “altruistic.” However, once we process these buried emotions through repression inquiry, true authenticity emerges. No longer needing to maintain a facade of goodness, we find that our authentic selves are enough. If helping others is part of our calling, it can now come from a place of genuine connection, rather than from the drive to uphold a false identity. If you are a coach, teacher, therapist, or other helper, join Scott’s FREE Webinar Saturday, September 20th on Zoom. episode The Dangers of Disembodied Spirituality cover

The Dangers of Disembodied Spirituality

In this episode, Scott speaks to the overlooked reality behind the spiritual search, addressing how the hidden shadow is completely missing from the beginning of most spiritual paths. He explores how contemporary spirituality contains both seekers and "finders—both of whom have missed the true root of suffering. This blind spot inevitably creates toxic trauma bonds between teachers and students, as well as within spiritual communities at large. Scott challenges listeners to stop ignoring the core issues and instead start looking at our spiritual practices and frameworks through the lens of the trauma that creates our suffering. True freedom cannot be found by simply hoping that someday we will be healed without having to face the pain. To break these cycles, we must directly confront and feel the deeply embedded childhood pain that has been driving our behavior and seeking from the very beginning. episode The Avoidant Spiritual Path cover

The Avoidant Spiritual Path

Back by popular demand following the Insider’s View of an Avoidant social media shorts, Scott Kiloby dives deep into how the avoidant attachment style subtly hijacks spirituality. This episode explores the hidden mechanics of spiritual bypassing, showing how the pattern remains completely invisible to those running it because it is driven by deeply buried emotions and unmet childhood needs. If you are trapped in a pleasure-pain cycle where your spiritual practices actually prolong your suffering rather than healing it, this conversation is for you. Learn how to spot these hidden traps, stop avoiding your avoidant nature, and finally break the loop to find true, grounded emotional liberation. Join Scott’s Third Dimension Membership Level on YouTube and end the cycle of avoidance.
