Bhai Narien Singh Chaura has been active in the Panthic sphere since the 1978 Saka in Amritsar. During the Dharam Yudh Morcha (1982 to mid-1984), he regularly met with Sant Ji and witnessed several key events and discussions. He remained actively involved in the Sikh struggle through his organization, Akaal Federation, during the period from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. His name has surfaced in connection with several significant incidents, including the 2004 Burail Jailbreak case. Most recently, he was arrested for allegedly attempting an attack on former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on December 4, 2024. He has since been released on bail. Journalist Mandeep Singh spoke with Bhai Narien Singh Chaura to learn more about his role in the Sikh struggle and his views on various key events and issues.
