UPDATE: Exciting news for supporters of the initiative. While approximately 125,000 valid signatures were required to qualify for the ballot, more than 180,000 signatures were submitted, demonstrating strong statewide interest. The signatures will now undergo the state’s verification process before the measure can officially appear on the November ballot. Whether you support or oppose the proposal, Dustin encourages every Coloradan to become informed, understand the issues, and make their voice heard by voting this November. This Bill 25-003 restricts the purchase, sale, and manufacture of many specified semiautomatic firearms (including specific rifles, shotguns, and gas-operated handguns with detachable magazines). Prior to purchasing these models, residents must obtain a “firearm safety course eligibility card” and pass a state-approved 12-hour safety course.
