Letters, diaries, and archived news reports suggest that similar events have occurred for over a century. As research unfolds, another team tracks increasing radiation readings toward the lake itself. What appears at first to be environmental contamination becomes something far stranger. The source is not in the water, but suspended above it. The investigation is no longer just about weather.
