Ep. 151: What if You Only Had the Bible?

This week we dive into the exclusive power and influence of the Bible in the lives of believers. Before we get into that topic we hit some current issues like: Trump in China, the redistricting wars, War in Iran among a few others. On the topic of the supremacy and exclusivity of the Bible, Mike talks about why he is so passionate about this topic. We then discuss the nuances of what we are saying. When a genuine believer seeks to be a better: mother, father, husband, wife, child, elder or some other type of ministry leader, where do they turn? Why are we so quick to turn to books about the Bible, rather than the Bible? What is the cause and effect of this subtle turn away from the text to books about the text? Does this mean we are against all extra biblical sources? NO, but when the extra displaces the power source, what are the dangers?
