Jesus in Your Weekend - Who's Sitting at Your Table (Season 2 Finale)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2459491/fan_mail/new] Jesus in Your Weekend – Season 2 Finale Who’s Sitting at Your Table? Psalm 23 As we close Season 2 of The Jesus Effect, thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Whether you’ve listened to one episode or every episode, I’m grateful you’ve joined me as we’ve opened God’s Word together and sought to grow closer to Jesus. In this special Jesus in Your Weekend finale, we reflect on one of the most comforting passages in all of Scripture—Psalm 23. David reminds us that the Good Shepherd prepares a table for us even in the presence of our enemies. The question is: Who’s sitting at your table? Every day, voices compete for our attention. Fear. Doubt. Discouragement. Shame. But Jesus invites us to listen to His voice—the voice of the Shepherd who knows us, loves us, and walks with us through every season of life. As you head into the weekend, choose to stay close to the Shepherd, fill your heart with God’s Word, and remember that His truth is always greater than the enemy’s lies. Thank you for an amazing Season 2. I look forward to beginning Season 3 with you as we continue discovering what it means to encounter Jesus and experience lasting change. Jesus: Faithful to the Finish (James Series Finale)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2459491/fan_mail/new] Jesus: Faithful to the Finish (James Series Finale) James 5:7–20 After eight weeks of studying the book of James, we arrive at its powerful conclusion. James reminds us that a mature faith is marked by patience, prayer, and perseverance. As we wait on God’s timing, seek Him in prayer, and remain faithful through every season, He continues to shape us into the people He has called us to be. In this final episode of the James series, we’ll discover how to: • Trust God’s timing even when waiting is difficult. • Make prayer our first response, not our last resort. • Encourage others and help those who have wandered back to Christ. • Finish the race with steadfast faith and hope. No matter what season you’re walking through today, God is still at work—even when you can’t see it. His faithfulness never changes. Jesus: Drawing Near to God — James Series (Episode 7)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2459491/fan_mail/new] Jesus: Drawing Near to God — James Series (Episode 7)  James 4 What does it really mean to draw near to God? In Episode 7 of our James series, we explore one of the most encouraging invitations in all of Scripture: “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8 James reminds us that many of life’s greatest battles don’t begin around us. They begin within us. Our struggles with pride, self-reliance, control, and surrender often keep us from experiencing the peace God desires for us. In this episode, we’ll discover: • why humility opens the door to God’s grace • how surrender leads to lasting peace • what it means to truly draw near to God • why depending on God is a mark of spiritual maturity • and how trusting God’s plans brings hope, even when life is uncertain We’ll also be reminded that the Christian life is not about gaining control. It’s about surrendering to the One who is already in control. Whether you’re facing uncertainty, carrying a burden, or simply longing to grow closer to the Lord, James offers timeless encouragement to humble yourself, trust God, and draw near to Him. Because the closer we draw to God… the more we discover that He has been faithful all along. That… is the Jesus Effect. Jesus in Your Weekend - Character Before Platform - Created. Gifted. Called. (Episode 4)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2459491/fan_mail/new] The Jesus Effect – Jesus in Your Weekend Created. Gifted. Called. Episode 4: Character Before Platform Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 God created you for a purpose. God gifted you for service. God calls you to use those gifts for His Kingdom. But what matters most is the character behind those gifts. In this final episode of our Created. Gifted. Called. series, we explore Paul’s powerful words in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 and discover that spiritual gifts, talents, and accomplishments mean little if they are not rooted in Christlike love. Our world often celebrates titles, platforms, influence, and achievement. Jesus focuses on something deeper—our hearts. He is not only interested in what we do, but in who we are becoming. Join me as we discover why character makes gifts effective, why love gives purpose to everything we do, and how God continues to shape us into the image of His Son. Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 Remember: God created you for a purpose. God gifted you for service. God calls you to use those gifts. And God is shaping your character every step of the way.
