My first ever cricketer and it is the Irish women's captain, Gaby Lewis. Hear how she got into the game, what the cricketing world is like in Ireland, how beating England boosted their profile and so much more. As the spotlight on female sports continues to shine, and our Irish females especially, let's give this chat a push and maybe a future cricketer will hear it! And remember, please rate, review, like, comment or share. Any one of these is a huge help. Sláinte! The refffferreeee's a legend! You don't tend to hear nice things about referees but I for one will only have good things to say about my guest today! David has been a ref for years and is one of the most respected in GAA. And he won the respect of the LGBTQ+ community when he publicly came out in 2015 in the campaigning for the Marriage Equality Referendum. Since then, he has been fighting for Pride in the GAA and in sports. This week a documentary aired on TG4 with David at the helm, called Misneach: Bród sa Spórt, which looks at our sports and if they are a safe place for gay players. You can watch it back on the TG4 player. In this chat we discuss everything from doorknocking for permission to get married, to why it's harder to ref a small club game than a full house at Croker. I hope you enjoy. Please share, rate, review and comment. Sorry for the delay between episodes but I am so excited to bring you this chat with Ali! As many of you might know, she recently discovered she had breast cancer and has gone through treatment, with her husband, family, neighbours and loved ones providing endless love and support. In this chat, we discuss her cancer journey, how she found out she had it just weeks after moving to Ireland, and how the people she least expected turned up for her. We also talk TV, being a star in the era of the lads mags and the naughties, that teacher-student affair storyline and why we are both aiming for the small wins from now on. Ali is the loveliest guest you could hope for, so open, honest and goddamn hilarious! I hope you enjoy. If you are worried about yourself and anything we discussed, please seek medical help. The Irish Cancer Society have loads of info on cancer.ie, in the UK, try breastcanceruk.org or the helpline closest to you. And as always, please share with friends and family, leave me a comment on Spotify, rate and review and be kind. This is truly a brilliant episode. Cormac, who you may know from Love Island, or from his fitness journey on Instagram, opens up about his addictions and how they nearly killed him. He talks about how he faked being well to go on Love Island and why he thinks now he shouldn't have been there. He opens up about his relapses and what it took to get to seek help. Truly inspiring, and also hopeful, to show there is help out there and light at the end of the tunnel. TW: There is discussion of suicide. Please seek immediate help if this resonates with you. The Samaritans are a brilliant charity and are available 24/7 on 116 123 on this side of the world. In the US, call 988 and in Australia, 13 11 14 is the number for Lifeline.
