Public Transportation Part 1

In this episode, Victor and Ken discuss the history of public transportation in the United States. Starting with cars (and even barges) pulled by draft animals in the 1820s, Pacific Electric Railway in Los Angeles in the early 1900s, and a small transit company serving miners in Minnesota that eventually became the Greyhound Bus Company. Join us for part 2 where we will pick up where we left off and discuss ways public transit could be better.

Trump's $1.776 Billion Slush Fund

In this episode, as you can see in the title, we talk about the $1.776 Billion fund set up to compensate alleged victims of weaponization of the government by past administrations. The good news is that there have already been lawsuits filed to increase oversight and to try to prevent any funds from being paid out by the federal government. There is also pushback from some within the republican party, so at least on this issue, Trump does not have much support. We will have to wait and see what actually happens, but we thought it would be good to talk about it and provide a little information and insight for those of you nice enough to listen to our little podcast!

The current conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran are forcing governments to make difficult decisions to lessen the economic impact on their citizens, further increasing their deficits.

In this episode, Victor and I try to make some sense on what is happening in the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran. Some things just don't seem to make any sense, especially from a politically and militarily strategic point of view, but we do our best. Netanyahu benefits from the conflict, but in the big picture, China could ultimately be the winner here, especially as the Trump administration continues to alienate US allies.
