Agile Hartford & Kevin Martin - Disciplined Agile (DA)

While the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has been making inroads at large organizations as they look to transform and scale their agile practices, the path to success is often challenging. Organizational culture, coupled with Agile practices & methods that seem inflexible, can lead to disruption. What other options are there? Why not consider Disciplined Agile (DA)? Join the board of Agile Hartford and noted Author, Speaker, & Executive Coach Kevin Martin as we discuss the DA Framework, keying in on critical foundation layer components of Principles, Promises, and Guidelines, along with a pass through additional scaling structures. Additional information on DA is available on PMI's website, here. [https://www.pmi.org/disciplined-agile/introduction-to-disciplined-agile]

Agile Hartford & Talli Pinhasi - What is Design Thinking?

Join the board of Agile Hartford as we speak with Talli Pinhasi, who has been creating engaging customer experiences since the early days of the internet. You will hear how design thinking concepts and proven practices lead to innovative  customer solutions by focusing on the customer - their wants, needs, and how we can delight them. Talli also shares a long list of the benefits of integrating design thinking into all aspects of (scaled) agile — should you need your own elevator speech some day — and finally, learn how you can get started today on your own Design Thinking journey. Talli is a strategic design leader with two decades of experience in business-design, digital solutions and program leadership. She is an active advocate for shifting corporate culture towards human-centricity. She also holds a Masters in Global Marketing Communications, a Bachelors in Social Science, and awards from the IAA, Cannes Lions and Webby to name a few. Agile Hartford & Eric Jaeger - Start Where You Are - Fostering Success with Kanban in the Real World

Where should Agile transformations begin? While organizations gravitate to Scrum, there are significant investments in adopting the mindset, pursuing support of leadership, and pressuring the corporate culture to foster the changes necessary for success. The truth is, not every Agile transformation requires excellence with Scrum. Instead, why not start where you are and consider Kanban? While still considered an Agile method, Kanban's applicability goes far beyond software development. Join Agile Hartford as LKU certified trainer and management professional Eric Jaeger gives us his perspective on how to succeed with this alternate path towards Agility. Eric is a Lean and Agile Transformation Consultant with more than 20 years of industry experience.  Eric has used Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, XP, and good old common sense to help guide transformations from the team to enterprise levels.  Eric has worked in the Insurance, Financial, Data Storage, Retail, and 3D Graphics industries starting as a QE Tester working on graphics accelerator hardware and software.  Eric is an Accredited Kanban Trainer, Kanban Management Professional, SPC4&5 as well as the founder and owner of Agile Rhythms Inc Consulting.
