Our identity comes from our Father in heaven and we just do not get this message enough. Jesus understood this truth from an early age. Jesus walked this truth out during His ministry. When we base our lives on the truth that God loves us we will be stable in everything we do because God's love for us never waivers. Where do we get our name? When our lives are in step with the Spirit of God, the natural outcome is to produce the fruit of the Spirit. The carnal man is at odds with the Spirit of God and the Spirit of God is at odds with the carnal man. It is a constant war for the soul of man! If you set up your life to live in step with God, you will produce fruit that is in keeping with the Holy Spirit and your life will produce peace, and joy and all those characters  that Galatians 5 speaks about. This is only possible with the Holy Spirit's presence in your life though. Only when you live in the rain of God. It's not possible in your own strength. Meekness is not of this world. Meekness can only be found in God because it comes from God. The source of meekness is the same source of the gifts of the Spirit. All of the gifts of the Spirit are just different expressions of love.
