Episode 37 - [Guest Episode] Beyond the Tricks: Wedding Entertainment and Human Connection with AK Magic

In this week’s guest episode of Aisle Be There, we are joined by the incredible AK Magic to talk about how magic became more than just a hobby and turned into a career built around entertainment, connection, and unforgettable moments. AK shares his journey from growing up between India and Kenya to discovering magic as a way to make friends and build confidence. What started with trying to impress a girl after seeing Derren Brown eventually became a full time career, leading to residencies, major corporate clients, and even a spot on Britain’s Got Talent. We dive into why magic works so well at weddings and events, especially during those moments where guests need breaking out of their comfort zones. From close up magic to personalised tricks using couples’ own stories and photos, AK explains why entertainment is about much more than just filling time. It is about bringing people together and creating moments guests genuinely remember. We also talk about the stigma around magicians at weddings, how entertainment trends are evolving, and why interactive experiences like tarot readers, sketch artists, and immersive performers are becoming more popular with modern couples. The conversation also explores branding, social media, and how AK built his business in a world where audiences constantly question whether magic is real or staged. From YouTube tutorials and card tricks to performing for global brands, this episode is packed with stories, insight, and a lot of laughs along the way.

Episode 36 - Bridesmaid Contracts: Expectations, Boundaries and Wedding Day Control

In this week’s episode of Aisle Be There, we discuss one of the wildest things we have come across online: a 37 clause contract sent by a bride to her bridesmaids outlining her expectations leading up to the wedding. From rules around weight gain and hair colour to pregnancy clauses and behaviour expectations, we react to some of the most shocking parts of the contract and talk about where the line is between reasonable expectations and taking things way too far. While the contract itself is clearly extreme, the conversation opens up a much bigger discussion around bridesmaids and the pressure that can come with the role. We explore what brides are actually entitled to expect from their bridal party, what support should naturally come with friendship, and how difficult it can be to navigate expectations without damaging relationships. We also talk about appearance pressure, drinking culture at weddings, childcare issues, and the reality that bridesmaids are people, not props for your wedding aesthetic. At the same time, we acknowledge that weddings do require effort, communication, and consideration from the people closest to you. This episode is funny, chaotic, slightly unhinged at times, but also a genuinely interesting conversation about friendships, boundaries, and wedding culture in the social media era.

Episode 35 - [Guest Episode] Behind the Decks: Weddings, Nightlife and DJ Culture with DJ Rugrat

In this week’s guest episode of Aisle Be There, we sit down with Nainesh, better known as DJ Rugrat, to talk about his journey through music, nightlife, weddings, and building one of the most recognised brands in the industry over the last 20 years. From the early days of being surrounded by rappers, MCs and mixtapes to navigating racism in the club scene and getting his first gigs in London nightlife, Nainesh shares how music became more than just a hobby. It became the thing he knew he was meant to do. We talk about confidence, ambition, and the mindset that pushed him to believe he would make it in the music industry one way or another. We also dive into how the DJ world has changed over the years. From the decline of club culture and the rise of streaming to how DJs were once the tastemakers people relied on to discover music, this episode is full of nostalgia and honest insight into the evolution of the scene. A huge part of the conversation focuses on weddings and why they are completely different to clubs. We discuss how wedding DJs have to read a room, balance cultures, curate experiences, and create an atmosphere that reflects the couple rather than forcing a packed dancefloor for the sake of it. Nainesh shares why being part of someone’s wedding journey is ultimately more rewarding than a club set. We also get into lighting, production, destination weddings, how DJs are selected and managed, and the realities of building a successful entertainment company in such a competitive industry. This episode is packed with stories, industry insight, and a real look behind the scenes of what it takes to stay relevant in music for over two decades.

Episode 34 - Fusion Weddings: How to Blend Cultures Without Overcomplicating It

In this week’s episode of Aisle Be There, we talk about fusion weddings and the realities of bringing two cultures together into one celebration. From traditions and ceremonies to food, music, and family expectations, we get into what it actually takes to make it work. We discuss why fusion weddings can be more complex than they first seem, especially when you are trying to balance what is important to both sides without making one feel prioritised over the other. From deciding what to include and what to leave out, to managing costs when it can start to feel like you are planning two weddings instead of one, we share what couples need to think about early on. We also explore practical ways to blend cultures seamlessly, from combining cuisines and drinks to incorporating music, entertainment, and meaningful traditions from both sides. Whether it is through food, live performances, or carefully chosen moments in the day, there are so many ways to make both families feel represented. We talk about the importance of sitting down as a couple and deciding what really matters to you, rather than trying to do everything. Because when too much is packed into one day, it can quickly become overwhelming. If you are planning a fusion wedding or considering how to bring two cultures together, this episode is full of honest advice on how to create something that feels balanced, thoughtful, and true to both of you.

Episode 33 - Wedding Advice Couples Should Ignore: What Actually Matters

In this week’s episode of Aisle Be There, we get into all the wedding advice couples are constantly given and why a lot of it should be taken with a pinch of salt. From unsolicited opinions to outdated expectations, we talk about how easy it is to get overwhelmed by what everyone else thinks you should be doing. We break down some of the most common pieces of advice, from “it’s your day, do whatever you want” to “DIY saves money” and whether bigger weddings really are better. The reality is that not all advice fits every couple, and following the wrong guidance can actually create more stress than it solves. We also talk about guest lists, cultural expectations, and the pressure to accommodate everyone. From inviting people out of obligation to navigating dietary preferences and family dynamics, we share honest thoughts on where to draw the line and focus on what actually works for you. We get into practical advice too, including planning timelines, the importance of having a coordinator, and why choosing the right suppliers matters more than going for the cheapest option. Just because something sounds like a good deal does not mean it will deliver on the day. This episode is a mix of honest opinions, real experiences, and a reminder that not all advice is good advice, especially when it comes from people who are not planning your wedding.
