Awakened from Adversity | Mental Health, Coping Skills, Faith & Growth

Hey friends!! Welcome to the Awakened from Adversity Podcast! Have you been struggling with your mental health lately? Feeling stuck, not knowing how to cope? Us young adults are constantly searching for our purpose, and we can't forget about those struggling mama's facing trials and tribulations due to their kiddos adversity. So, if you're searching for identity, mental health wellness, and are striving to live with purpose, you are in the right place.  Awakening from adversity is NOT easy, but it is for sure worth it. In this trailer you will here a glimpse of the suffering Payton's been through and how life can go from its best to its worst in seconds.  You can expect to hear personal testimonies from young adults up to successful mothers about how they awakened from their adversity. Whether that be through their academics, athletics, faith, friend/family complications, mental/physical health diagnosis, and so much more you are now one step closer to living the life you've always wanted to live. These personal stories are from soft-hearted individuals who trust you to listen to their story and to gain an insight that you can either apply to your own life or even learn about other trials outside your struggle. Also, on Payton's track for becoming a psychologist she invests a lot of energy and effort towards coping skills. We can't cope without the skills and knowledge to handle our emotional regulation. If you haven't already let's work to develop a toolbox of coping skills that you are able to pull out of your back pocket in times of distress. Occasionally we may throw in some scientific background as well as dialing our perspective through a Christian lens. Young adults- you may be walking through life right now questioning your worth, wondering what your purpose is, or suffering with adversity. If I could give you one word to strive for, "Awaken" is what I'd use. When you are able to open your eyes to the world around you and say, "wow xyz is my purpose", you have more desires for bigger aspirations while making the Lord proud.  Struggling moms- You're kids are proud of you for trying your hardest. I don't know the pain of watching your kid/s go through a tough time, but I know people who do! You are not alone and we see you. I hope you feel inspired to provide a listening ear towards healing and recovery!
