About bloom
Healing is a process that takes time and effort. We may assume we have healed from past trauma, but a trigger can easily toss us back into darkness. Bloom is a podcast for listeners looking to heal from their trauma. The host, Marnia Toney, discusses her experiences with trauma as a means of helping others heal. Trauma may be difficult to heal from, but that doesn't mean the journey must be taken alone.

In this episode, I discuss my fear of change and my journey with learning to flow.

Welcome to I Got Somethin To Say. I’m your host Marnia Toney, and I invite you to join me on my healing journey. In the first season, I will discuss the catalyst for my healing journey. In episode one, I’ll provide an introduction to one form of trauma I am healing from. Subsequent episodes will serve to build off some themes mentioned in episode one. Hopefully, if I do this right, the season will end, and I will be able to call myself healed from the trauma. If not, that’s alright too—it’s all a process. Some of what I say may not apply to you, and that’s okay. I intend for my messages to always reach those who need to hear them. More importantly, by discovering my voice, I hope that you, dear listener, will discover yours, too.

In this episode, I discuss my experience with sexual assault, hypersexuality, and the desire for external validation. This episode contains accounts of sexual assault. Please do not continue listening if these topics distress you. A content warning is advised for anyone under the age of thirteen.
