Canboulay’s Work Shouldn’t Hurt Podcast | Silence is not an option
In this episode of Work Shouldn’t Hurt and Change Matters, we are joined by Dave Coleman from ITA. With years of trade’s experience dating back to the early 70’s, Dave talks about his perspective on workplace bullying and harassment and its connection with gender-based violence. The pair discuss the gender disparities with regards to those most vulnerable to experiencing workplace bullying and harassment and the role of the bystanders in the situation as well. Key points are the harm of vigilantism, sexual assault in the workplace amongst minorities and encouraging the next generation to know their rights when it comes to dealing with matters of the workplace. “When these things happen, we can’t just sit quietly by it and let it happen because it’s not just ignoring the problem, it’s actually supporting and encouraging the problem.” Dave Coleman
