It’s been known by many names, Tecumseh’s Curse, the Curse of Tippecanoe, the Zero-Year Curse, the Twenty-Year Curse. No matter what you call it, the legend remains. This legend tells that every president elected in a year ending in zero – from William Henry Harrison to John F. Kennedy was destined to die in bizarre, untimely and often tragic ways. Episode 14: The Curse of Timur's Tomb

This week, Aimee and Nathan talk about a warlord and nobleman who controlled a vast swath of Asia during the 14th century. Timur (aka Tamerlane) was renowned as a military tactician whose warfare killed some 17 million people. Fast forward 400 years, when Joseph Stalin commissioned a team to exhume Timur’s body and bring it back to the Soviet Union. Just two days after the opening of the Timur’s tomb, Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union. Coincidence? Some say the exhumation set in motion a prophecy that would change the course of history.
