The men on the Death or Prison program know what incarceration is and offer their personal experiences in order to tell how a second chance can become a new life. God does. Sentenced to 4 Life Sentences, the question for Joe was life or death. The power of God went deep inside him when he heard the answer to his question and immediately he felt the power of God enter his heart and he was born again at that moment! Old things passed away and all things became new, this according to God's promise.
Joe found more acceptance outside of his family than inside. His 'hood' peers took him on a wrong path and he ended up taking the lives of two men.
Vernon came to God after about a decade inside and has been living his life after release in peace.
The Innocent Project took interest in Vernon's case and through a long process proving Vernon's innocence, got him released. He leaned on God through the process and God didn't fail.
