God Continues the Good Work (Philippians 1:12-14) | Herman Moldez, March 22, 2026

God Continues the Good Work (Philippians 1:12-14) | Rev. Herman Moldez, March 22, 2026 Many think they need to be rich to join the work of God. God in His grace uses the poor and powerless as His servants. The Philippians surrendered their lives to the Lord and experienced the example of Jesus to be generous in poverty. If we obey, God will provide what is needed to do His work. We are known to start something good but fail to sustain it for a long haul to complete it. Doing the good work of God is not smooth sailing. Difficult challenges disappoint and discourage us to quit. In Philippians 1:12-14, Paul shared that the good work of proclaiming the gospel had continued extensively despite his imprisonment. The enemy closed the door, but God opened a more strategic opportunity to advance the gospel. No one and nothing can chain the gospel (2Tim 2:9). How do we continue the good work even if terrible things sabotage it? We discern God at work. As Paul reflected his experience of imprisonment, it revealed that God turned it to advance the gospel (v.12). In His sovereignty, God used the disruption to advance the kingdom in Caesar's palace. It is not being positive but seeing in perspective that God is in charge. We follow where He leads. Reflective practice while doing the work of God, lets us see God's hands in coordinated coincidences to converge in His purpose. Knowing God is behind all things declares Christ clearly. It became known that Paul was in chains "for Christ" (v.13). Christ became popular among the palace guards who started gossiping Christ reaching the palace. The prison cell became the platform to proclaim Christ. It is when we ponder and pray that we realize and recognize that life's crisis is a means to reveal Christ. Finally, the story of God's sovereign work develops courage to continue the good work amidst threat and trouble. Paul's prison story inspired courage and confidence on the power of God. Our story of serving God documents the story of God at work in our lives. Doing the work of God will have disruption and delay, persecution and opposition, lack of resources and support? If you are doing the work of God, it will continue no matter what. God continues to complete it. All for His glory.

episode God Is Faithful to Complete It (Phil. 1:3-6) | Herman Moldez, March 15, 2026 artwork

God Is Faithful to Complete It (Phil. 1:3-6) | Herman Moldez, March 15, 2026

God Is Faithful to Complete It (Phil. 1:3-6) | Rev. Herman Moldez, March 15, 2026 The church is the primary agent to proclaim the gospel, not just in words but also in good works. Nothing can stop God's work. God started His work in FBC, then and now. God is faithful to sustain and complete what He has started with those who share in His work. In this world, you need to do something big to be relevant. The successful are the superstars of this world. In the kingdom of God, what matters is not the big things we do, but the good work of God no matter how small. Doing the work of God is important even if the world regards it irrelevant. 1. God Commences a Good Work 2. God Continues His Work By Grace 3. God Will Complete His Work in Glory

episode Make it count: "Join the Good Work of God" (Colossians 3:23-24) | Harold Peñacerrada, March 8, 2026 artwork

Make it count: "Join the Good Work of God" (Colossians 3:23-24) | Harold Peñacerrada, March 8, 2026

Make it count: "Join the Good Work of God" (Colossians 3:23-24) | Ptr. Harold Peñacerrada, March 8, 2026 God appointed men and women He created to continue His good work. The work you do, in the company, campus, and the church is doing the work of God. In joining the work of God, we Christians strive with excellence of heart to serve with passion for God's pleasure. We will all be rewarded in doing the work of God. "23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Principles to Help You Make Your Work Count: I. View your work as God's calling (Vocation) A. God created you to work (Gen. 1:27-28, 2:15) B. All work is ministry (Col. 3:23-24) II. Know who your real boss is (Service) A. Work as serving the Lord (Eph. 6:5-8) B. Work to serve others (Eph. 4:28) III. How you work matters (Witness) A. Work hard (Prov. 14:23; Ecc. 9:10) B. Work with integrity (Col. 3:22-24) C. Work to the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17)

episode God’s Sufficient Grace (2Cor 12:7-10) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, Feb 22, 2026 artwork

God’s Sufficient Grace (2Cor 12:7-10) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, Feb 22, 2026

God’s Sufficient Grace (2Cor 12:7-10) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, Feb 22, 2026 How can you continue if you are in so much pain? The paradox of grace is not to spare us from trouble but to transform our heart to discover strength in weakness. Paul had encountered so many life-threatening troubles (see 2Cor 1:6-8; 6:8-10) yet the more he became resilient by grace. 1. Grace that Breaks Pride v.7b 2. Grace that Builds Trust v.8-9 3. Grace that Brings Strength v.10 What sustains you when the thorn of suffering pierces deeply into your heart and leaves you overwhelmed and weak? It is the sufficiency of God's grace that sustains us. Paul's testimony reminds us that suffering is not wasted because it humbles our pride, teaches us to trust in Christ's power, and reveals that true strength is found not in ourselves but in Him. When weakness overwhelms, grace becomes the anchor that supports, strengthens, and satisfies the soul.
