In today’s episode I'm joined by award winning writer and editor of The Blizzard, Jonathan Wilson as we discuss the recently revised edition of his book Angels with Dirty Faces, an incredible book which not only covers the history of Argentinian football to the present day, but also the history of the modern country itself. I really recommend it. James Brown - founding Editor of Loaded Magazine, author of 'Animal House'

In today’s episode I'm joined by the founder and first editor of Loaded magazine - James Brown.  James recently published his memoir ‘Animal House’ which covers his life both before and after the magazine and for me it was an excellent read in the way it honestly reflects both the highs and lows of celebrity and excess during the 1990s. James initially began writing in Leeds during the 1980s, where he turned his passion for music into his own successful fanzine. A move to the more established music press in London followed first at Sounds and then at the NME before James was given the opportunity to set up Loaded, a title that essentially redefined male culture in the media.  Our chat covers the music, magazines and mayhem that James describes so well in his book, as well as his passion for football and Leeds United. Alastair Campbell

More recently, his podcast The Rest is Politics, which he co-hosts with former Conservative MP Rory Stewart has consistently topped the charts and has made politics more engaging and accessible for a mass audience, including me! We also cover his latest book ‘But What Can I Do?’ (out May 11th), written to arm the average person with ways and means of making a real difference in the complex and confusing world of politics.
