In this episode, Brian sits down with a member of the 1988 National Championship team, Scooter Barry. Scooter hails from a legendary basketball family, as the son of Hall of Famer, Rick Barry. Between, Scooter, his brothers and his dad, the Barry boys have a combined 63 seasons of professional basketball experience, 3 NBA titles, 1 Olympic gold and 1 NCAA Championship – Scooter’s, as a member of that “Danny and the Miracles” team. Scooter relives that legendary run in the spring of 1988, and talks about what it was like to play for Larry Brown and alongside KU’s all-time leading scorer, Danny Manning. He also shares memories of playing for a young Roy Williams who took over in the fall of 1988.
