Spring sports season award show

Trophies have been raised, banners are about to be hung, and it's time for the final episode of the High School Huddle for the 2021-21 season. The spring sports season saw several teams winning it all and we honor the best of the best this year with our spring sports award show.  (0:00-13:30)- We recap a busy week of state tournament action that saw McQuaid baseball, Schroeder softball, and Victor girls lacrosse win state championships.  (13:30-20:00)- Our award show starts with our stories of the year as we highlight the surprising and fantastic seasons from Pal-Mac baseball and Irondequoiut boys lacrosse. (20:00-27:00)- It's time to recognize our players of the year, as we give our flowers to Molly Broccolo of Schroeder softball and the defensive duo of Eric Platten and Jack Faiola from Canandaigua boys lacrosse. (27:00-37:45)- We conclude the show by honoring our teams of the year that should come as no surprise, McQuaid baseball and Victor girls lacrosse.

State championships preview with WSYR's Mario Sacco

It's time for the final four as the spring sports season is coming to an exciting finish. We're joined by another special guest as Mario Sacco of WSYR in Syracuse to recap the state semifinals in boys lacrosse and preview the girls lacrosse semis. (0:00-12:20)- We preview the softball state tournament as Schroeder and Avon are still alive from the Rochester area.  (12:20-20:40)- Switching over to baseball, McQuaid and Pal-Mac are both looking to end their fantastic seasons by winning state championships.  (20:40-27:15)- Mario enters the chat as we break down the boys lacrosse action from Wednesday as Canandaigua advanced to the state title game while Fairport came short in the semis.  (27:15-39:45)- Section V and III will be going head-to-head in all of the girls lacrosse semifinal matchups, Mario breaks down the opponents for Rush-Henrietta, Victor, Honeoye Falls-Lima, and Pal-Mac.  (39:45-42:05)- We wrap up the show and get you ready for a wild weekend of high school sports.

Far West Regionals preview with WIVB's Mary Margaret Johnson

Sectional championships are in the books and it's time to turn our attention to the state tournament. We're once again joined by Mary Margaret Johnson of WIVB-TV in Buffalo to break down Section V's adversaries from Section VI this weekend.  (00:00-10:30) AJ and Carl recap a busy week of sectional championship weekend and discuss proper brick celebration etiquette.  (10:30-24:15) Mary Margaret joins the show to preview this weekend's regional action, starting with the lacrosse teams from Section VI she feels have the best shot to make it to the state semifinals.  (24:15-30:05) We turn our attention to the diamond, starting with softball action that features a phenom in Class AA (30:05-42:15) Mary Margaret recaps the wild controversy in Section VI baseball and highlights the teams that will take on Section V's best. (42:15-42:57) We close out the show with a customary recap of the recent weather in Rochester and look forward to a great weekend of action.

It's our spring sectionals preview and we've got a lot of great matchups, brackets, upsets, and favorites to talk about in a jam-packed show.  (0:00-4:25) AJ recaps the ordeal that was covering the Amerks triple overtime playoff loss (4:25-12:30) We discuss how the seeding system for baseball has impacted the early rounds and the possible ways to rectify it in the future.  (12:30-19:05) We dive into our sectional previews, starting with boys lacrosse and the Class B and D brackets.  (19:05-25:00) Our attention turns to girls lacrosse and the Class D and A championship games. (25:00-30:45) Heading to the diamond, we preview the Class AA and B1 baseball brackets (30:45-37:30) We round up the show by taking a look at a few rivalry championship games in Class A1 and A2 softball

The final week of the spring regular season is here and the action is heating up just as much as the weather. AJ Feldman and Carl Jones break it all down in this week's episode.  0:00-4:25- AJ and Carl have their usual weather chat, talk about AJ's round of golf at Oak Hill as well as a new fantasy football punishment that could start sweeping the nation.  4:25-13:10- Pittsford girls lacrosse picked up some big wins to assert themselves in Class A while McQuaid's Will Taylor pitched a gem at Frontier Field, they're our teams of the week 13:10-19:35- Wayne boys lacrosse and Rush-Henrietta softball are starting to peak at the right time, they're out under the radar teams 19:35-25:15- Carl and AJ share their games of the week while AJ gets visited by an unexpected guest (21:25)
