HEAR Ep65 - LMFT Journey, Ciao for now!

It's been an amazing journey with this podcast. Unfortunately I will have to take a pause on this creative project for now. The good news is...I am on the pathway to becoming a Licensed Therapist! It's my first year as a graduate student in an MFT program and balancing schoolwork, with a full time job, a part time job, and my personal life...let's be real, it's a lot. Therefore, I will sadly put a hold on this podcast for a little bit until I feel ready to devote more time and energy into it. These past 65 episodes have been fun to record and create. Never would I have imagined I could come this far without missing a single week and started getting over the awkwardness of shouting into a microphone alone in my room. There's a first for everything. If you've stuck with me till now, I am so so so grateful that you chose to and thank you from the bottom of my heart! HEAR Ep64 - Is Lane Splitting Fair?!

You're sitting in traffic, almost ready to doze off in your car. The highway has been backed up for miles and you've been spending already 30 minutes just to go 2 miles. All of the sudden, whoosh, a motorcyclist or two casually cruise on by. "Hey, wait your turn like everyone else!" But should they have to wait? Actually, lane filtering and splitting is legal in certain places, especially where I am in Bay Area, California. In this episode, I explore the ins and outs of lane splitting and why it's actually a good thing for both motorcyclists AND car drivers. Personally, I don't want to say bad drivers. Everyone makes mistakes. However, there are definitely what we should call negligent drivers out there that know the law and rules, but decide to cheat or do unsafe maneuvers for their own personal benefit. This can be quite dangerous for motorcyclists who already have to deal with so many factors flying by their minds. How do we control our emotions amidst these situations and how can be avoid being another statistic? We explore some practical tips in this episode! HEAR Ep62 - Motorcycling Road Rage

Did you know that road rage incidents caused over 480 shootings and 777 deaths between 2014 and 2023? Speeding also accounted for over 12,000 deaths in the USA in 2022. That's actually quite a lot. How can we keep our emotions in check and deal with other road ragers? Do you find it difficult with ADHD? I'm definitely a perpetrator and I try to remind myself to keep those emotions in check.
