Episode 1- Barbenheimer, Beads, and Bumble

In their first 'real' podcast episode, Shirley and Olivia begin by introducing America's current bans on gender affirming care citing a CNN article. They further discuss the nuances behind how this situation fits into the complex American psyche based off their recent participation in American precollege programs. Alongside their special guest (and American), Gavin, the two girls paint a complicated image of the current political state of America as Canadians using stories from living in New York City and Providence. Countless other relevant topics are debriefed– including but not limited to: the internet's obsession with 'Barbenheimer,' the uprise and detriments of online dating platforms, the aliens in the US, and Rupaul's Werq the World tour. The girls reveal the challenges of womanhood as they wonder about their futures, online shop, and reflect on the Toronto private high school experience.

Episode 0- Introductions and Such

Take 2 of uploading our intro... we had to remove some personal info btw! Nonetheless, welcome to hot babes talking and such! In our intro, hosts Olivia and Shirley give introductions and personal definitions to feminism and everything else related. We start with the discussion prompt of trans women in sports and we welcome our first guest, Beats (female Junior Aeros hockey player), to share her opinions and experiences. For the majority of the episode, Olivia and Shirley refer to ChatGPT's generated list of topics when asked: "feminist podcast prompts for first ep" (although not entirely relying on it because ai isn't trustworthy!). Throughout our trailer, we introduce important feminist terminology including intersectionality, white feminism, male/non female feminists, representation, etc. We also discuss various pieces of media, including but not limited to Bojack Horseman, American Pie, EEAAO,etc. We finish it off with a perfume smell test and Olivia's make up routine whilst continuing to relate feminism to everyday matters.
