15 episodesBarb, Steph and Kaye will share an understanding which provides an explanation of our experience of life. It’s not a practice, a technique, a process - it’s quite simply a description of how our moment to moment experience is formed. And how by insightfully seeing this, so much of what we thought we were dealing with spontaneously falls off our minds and life just makes so much more sense.
There is no correlation between wanting to win and winning. Having a positive mindset as an influencing variable is a fallacy. And one that sets us up for self-judgement if we find ourselves in anything other than a clear state of mind before a big game, talk, meeting or any kind of performance. Listen to professional rugby player, Adam Ashe, share a very simple understanding of where state of mind, feelings, attitude and mood comes from 100% of the time; and why, when we insightfully see this fact, we are no longer concerned with how we feel because we see that in every moment we have the capacity for optimal performance.
Within us all is a deeper knowledge and innate wisdom. When we hear someone speak from that space it can light us up inside. We recognise truth and not only do we physically relax but it spring cleans our psyche, bypassing our intellect and resonating with our soul, feeling familiar yet new at the same time. Come listen to Dr. Rita Shuford speak about an understanding which answers the biggest why? question of all - why do we feel and act the way we do?
Have you ever noticed how sometimes life can be full of activities and ‘doings’ and yet there is a sense of calm inside? And other times you can be sitting doing nothing yet full of overwhelm imagining all sorts of scary futures? This points to a simple truth that our personal experience and life ‘happenings’ are not connected. It can sometimes appear as though there is a correlation between how we feel and what’s occurring around us but this is the illusion that leads us to believe that our well-being is dependent upon certain circumstances being met. It’s not. Dr. Varsha Jain, a Doctor in a London hospital; and NASA researcher into aspects of female astronaut health in relation to spaceflight, is a great example of someone who has a jam packed schedule but sees that if she experiences stress, the schedule isn't the cause. Our well-being, our psychological security, is a constant and always present - it’s just our experience sometimes leads us to believe it’s under threat. Together we explore how our personal experience and life ‘happenings’ are not connected. Enjoy this podcast with Dr. Varsha Jain & host Kaye Taylor
Have you ever wondered where new ideas come from? Or what blocks new ideas coming to mind? What’s at play when things come to us out of the blue? Through coming to a simple, yet profound understanding of how the human mind works we will share what we’ve seen to be true around how we all have access to fresh thought in every moment. Solutions to perceived problems and fresh ideas that help and are useful to us and others are literally only ever one thought away. It’s just that sometimes there’s so much noise in our heads we can’t hear fresh thought.
