Breaking to become. The power of Positive Disintegration.

In this episode I have the honour to interview Dr. Chris Wells. This is a very important episode to me, because I discovered Positive Disintegration through Emma Nicholson and Chris Well´s Podcast Positive Disintegration. It was then that I began my journey toward personal growth , self-love and self-compassion. Dr. Chris Wells (they/them/theirs) studies Dąbrowski’s Theory of Positive Disintegration, and founded the Dąbrowski Center to provide a home for the theory and to support their work. Chris serves as President of the Dąbrowski Center, and is an author, speaker, consultant, and co-host of the Positive Disintegration Podcast [https://positivedisintegration.substack.com/].  You can find Chris: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr_chris_wells/ [https://www.instagram.com/dr_chris_wells/] Website: https://dabrowskicenter.org/board-of-directors/chris-wells/ [https://dabrowskicenter.org/board-of-directors/chris-wells/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/positivedisintegrationpod/ [https://www.facebook.com/positivedisintegrationpod/] Podcast: https://dabrowskicenter.org/podcast/ [https://dabrowskicenter.org/podcast/] You can follow me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mamisneurodivergentespodcast/ [https://www.instagram.com/mamisneurodivergentespodcast/]

Breaking the mold as a neurodivergent person

In this episode, Melanie and I dive into the challenges and beauty of embracing our differences. We explore topics like adolescence, queerness, and the neurodiverse experience, discussing what it means to grow up feeling 'outside the norm.' We also highlight key red flags that parents should look out for when supporting their neurodivergent and queer children through these formative years. Melanie Gruben is an autistic, queer therapist accredited with the Psychological Society of Ireland. Her private practice specialises in neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+. She hails from Dallas, Texas, where she learned to treasure cool and cloudy weather. Now living in Limerick, Ireland, Melanie collaborates with Violet Psychology providing online therapy services while also working as a researcher. Her long-term aspirations include eating all her produce before expiry and knowing when to use the "ser" and "estar" verbs in Spanish.
