Descripción

In this episode I share a **Day 50 progress update on my 75 Hard journey**. For those unfamiliar, **75 Hard** is a mental toughness program created by Andy Frisella. The challenge requires strict daily habits including two workouts per day, following a diet, reading personal development books, drinking a gallon of water, and taking a progress photo every day for 75 days. Now that I’ve reached **Day 50**, I reflect on: • The hardest parts of the challenge so far • Unexpected mental and physical changes • Lessons about discipline and consistency • Where I've struggled and nearly failed This episode is a **raw mid-challenge reflection** on building discipline, staying accountable, and pushing through when motivation fades. If you're considering trying **75 Hard**, or you're currently doing it yourself, this update might help you understand what the experience is really like halfway through. Portada del episodio Irritation As A Reframing Opportunity

Irritation As A Reframing Opportunity

As of recent I've been inundated in my part of the internet of people being irritated (or triggered in gen z speak) expressing deep irritation e.g. with tax reform. First it is easy for me to notice irritation in others as opposed to myself (self reflection is hard) and secondly, regardless of whether I was in (partial) agreement or not with their viewpoints, I found this to be rather ugly. Having recently read the 'Art of Happiness' by the Dalai Lama I reflect in this episode on situations where I have been the one who has been irritated and take this as an opportunity to reframe these irritations. Eviction Day Monologue

This is simply me in my apartment reflecting on my experience of eviction as I empty my apartment, packed up my belongings (approximately 2 Mitsubishi lancers worth of possessions) and meet (some) neighbours for the first and last time. Impermanence As A Tool For Happiness

Being aware of impermanence is often cause for misery but in this episode I reflect on why it should be a reminder to be grateful for the good whilst it lasts and hopeful when times are tough. Reflections On 75 Hard Over A Month After Finishing

I finally finished 75 Hard after 1 restart, 81 days and over 162+ work outs later. I reflect on how I felt towards the end of the program and the insights I'm taking away now that I'm returning to regular programming. Want to listen to more episodes? The Loneliness Epidemic: Why You Need To Be Proactive, More Forgiving And Apply Game Theory To Beat It

As we've gotten older I've noticed that in many of the social networks of my friends (male in particular) have become a shell of what they used to be. Whilst this could be a quality over quantity scenario, and this is arguably part of the reason, I see something else far more destructive is that many are falling into what is described as 'The Loneliness Epidemic'. In a world where we feel connected by the mirage created through the digital world many of us often feel less connected than ever because digital connection is a poor substitute for connection another human in real life. In this episode I reflect on a number of social gatherings I've recently hosted, my observations of social dynamics over the last 10-15 years and how I think we ought to apply game theory to our networks rather than the default tit-for-tat strategy so many of us fall into.
