Off the Record its first season with a brand new episode. In the final episode of the season, Episode 11, available now, Host Lisa Konicki sits down with actor/singer/songwriter Luke Grimes. In this episode of Off The Record, Grimes reflects on his growth as both a musician and actor since his debut album, touching on fatherhood, loss, and the persistence of imposter syndrome. Discussing his role in The Marshals, Grimes explains the need to evolve his character beyond a “happy ending,” saying, “If we're going to do another show about him… there had to be some sort of drama. It couldn't just be happy ever after.” Grimes’ new album Red Bird, a deeply personal and autobiographical project, is the central focus of the interview. Grimes emphasizes its emotional honesty, saying, “It’s honestly all over the place… we were trying to take sort of a portrait of a person at a time.” In the podcast, Grimes dives into the stories behind the songs, his collaborative songwriting process, and how fatherhood and grief influenced the record. Grimes will also be discussing, the emotional and creative journey behind Red Bird, the transition from Yellowstone to The Marshals and the parallels between acting and music as forms of storytelling. episode Ingrid Andress: Authenticity, Growth and Moving Forward cover

Ingrid Andress: Authenticity, Growth and Moving Forward

Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Lisa Konicki, 'Off the Record' features in-depth conversations with top music artists, exploring their musical journeys, the craft of songwriting, and personal stories behind the music. In this candid conversation with host Lisa Konicki, country artist Ingrid Andress opens up about the fallout from her highly publicized performance of the national anthem at the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby. Andress describes the intense backlash and "hate" she received, admitting she was more "shocked" than anything by the public's harsh judgment. However, Andress didn't let the incident define her. She returned determined to move past the controversy. This experience inspired her new single "Now I Know," which she says is about the freedom that comes from no longer caring what others think. Andress also discusses the more vulnerable, personal nature of her upcoming album, saying, "I'm not scared of being honest anymore." The singer has learned to be less afraid of being authentic and putting uncomfortable details in her songwriting, rather than holding back. Tracks like the kiss-off anthem "All The Best" showcase her growth. As  Andress embraces this new chapter, her album explores a journey towards greater self-acceptance, honesty and the freedom to express the full range of her emotions. Evan Rachel Wood: Going Solo, Musical Awakenings and Becoming Lenore Pink (Episode 7)

Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Lisa Konicki, 'Off the Record' features in-depth conversations with top music artists, exploring their musical journeys, the craft of songwriting, and personal stories behind the music. 'Off the Record' continues its first season with a powerful new episode. In Episode 7, available now, Konicki sits down with actress Evan Rachel Wood for an indepth musical conversation—covering her new 3-song EP under the pseudonym Lenore Pink, the personal side of her artistry that goes beyond her iconic on-screen, and how Linda Perry had a hand in catapulting Wood’s foray into music. In this intimate conversation, Wood opens up about her long relationship with music and why now finally felt like the right moment to release her first solo EP. She traces her musical roots from musical theater and lifelong singing to years of self-doubt, perfectionism, and protecting music as a sacred refuge. Across the episode, Wood reflects on pivotal moments that shaped the EP’s three songs, including the origins of “Nest,” which began over a decade ago with Linda Perry, later blooming into a piano-driven recording with Mike Garson. Along the way, Wood shares stories about performing in duos, collaborating with artists like Adam Duritz, and why releasing music under an alias allowed her to let listeners meet the songs without preconceived ideas.
