Selling Everett: Episode 5 - Bayside

Welcome to the Bayside Neighborhood!! The official boundaries are 19th st to Pacific and Grand Ave to Broadway. Bayside encompasses the heart of downtown Everett with some of the best coffee shops and restaurants. Some of our favorite restaurants and coffee shops include the New Mexicans, Catalyst Cafe, Narrative, Brooklyn Brothers Pizza, Choux Choux Bakery, Nadines, the Sno-Isle Food Co-op and more! Not to mention the fun things for everyone to do like antique shopping, the library, Schack Art Center, Imagine Children's Museum, Funko and Angel of the Winds Arena. Go Silvertips! The Bayside Neighborhood is also the home of the city and county municipal buildings for the area. One the the historical notes of the Bayside neighborhood is the Samuel's house. Jennie, John and their son Wesley were an African-American families that help contribute to equal treatment of the Black Community in Everett. Jennie founded the Women's Club Movement in Washington and they were official homeowners on the 2200 block of Wetmore Avenue. The Samuels family moved to Everett around 1897 and by 1900 owned one of the first homes built on the 2200 block of Wetmore Avenue. After a brief period employed as a railroad cook, John Samuels switched to working as a custodian, a career that would support his family until his retirement. In addition to being a homemaker, Jennie Samuels became increasingly involved with social and religious affairs in Everett and Snohomish County. She founded the Nannie Burroughs Study Club, named for Nannie Helen Burroughs (1879-1961), an African American educator, feminist, and civil rights activist. The Study Club discussed papers and other works related to the improvement of Black lives in America. Club women were also heavily involved with providing aid to children in lower-income households, and to housebound individuals. Welcome to the Northwest Neighborhood! The official boundaries are north of 19th St, and west of Broadway Ave. It is one of our favorite areas for mixed use! It is home of Everett's very own Port and so many wonderful local businesses! We are excited for the new apartments that are built and coming to add more housing to the water front. It is also home to Legion park that has one of the best views of the Sound.  Be sure to check out staples of the Northwest Neighborhood like The Jetty Bar and Grill, Scuttlebutt Brewing, Bluewater Distilling and the new locations opening up this Spring/early Summer!  We have stickers, so reach out to us if you'd like one, or if you spot us around the neighborhood say, "Hello!" Selling Everett: Episode 3 - Delta

Welcome to the Delta Neighborhood! We have stickers, so reach out to us if you'd like one, or if you spot us around the neighborhood say, "Hello!" North of 19th Street, east of Broadway, and bordering along the Snohomish River you are going to find the Delta Neighborhood.  It is home to the Everett Community College Campus, that has a satellite building for Washington State University.  We are happy to be on site today.   From the development of new affordable housing in the Park District to some of the original Donovan houses, there is a home for everyone.  Be sure to check out staples of the Delta Neighborhood like the Triangle Trading Post, or hop across the river to Smith Island and walk Langus Park.  Be sure to keep an eye out for the proposed foot bridge across the river in the future. Welcome to the Riverside Neighborhood! We are currently going through a recession as we conclude 2022 and head into 2023.  Not to mention we are in the winter season and everyone is taking time off.  Home appreciation is still there and inventory is still pretty slim. The Riverside Neighborhood is the oldest neighborhood of Everett, established in 1892.  Located between 19th Street (North), Pacific Avenue (South) and Broadway (West) and the Snohomish River to the East.  Frederick Sexton is the architect of Riverside that brought us buildings such as the Rudebeck Hall, Hotel Everett and the Brue Building.   Everett is still predominantly an owner occupied community and a great place for first time homebuyers. #sellingeverettpodcast #yourfellowmillennial #firsttimehomebuyer
