Remi Martin of Baltic: Unpacking The Stone Dial Trend & Small Independents

The fellas took a little field trip this week to visit a friend of the brand and Baltic’s New York City Showroom Manager, Remi Martin. Baltic has become a darling amongst beginner and veteran watch enthusiasts alike. Baltic’s founder, Etienne Malec, debuted their first timepieces in 2017 and have not looked back since. As their current catalog stands, the brand boasts an 11 individual collections and nearly 50 watches — it’s not a stretch to say that Baltic can no longer be considered a “microbrand,” “small Indie” or however you want to label them as. After joining the Baltic team in 2023, Remi Martin quickly became the number one prospect to grow the brand’s roots in New York City. Now holding the title as Showroom Manager for Baltic’s New York boutique, Remi’s responsibilities range from taking walk-in appointments to holistically creating a community surrounding Baltic in the great New York area.
