The Life of Change: Being His Servant

As we've come to a critical point in our study of The Life of Change, we must make a decision: Are you a servant or a citizen? As a new believer in Christ now you are to be God's servant, attending to His every need. Only servants are given assignments in the kingdom. We see Jesus when He needed something he asked a disciple to do it. Without becoming a disciple, a believer will stay a child and forfeit his godly inheritance. Discipleship is the process of becoming like the Son so that we can partake in God's inheritance. Outside of discipleship a believer will stay immature and be useless in the kingdom. The Life of Change: The Endless, Powerful, Resurrection Life

What better life to live than one that hosts power and indestructibility. The life that Jesus came to give us is this exact life. The life of change is not a powerless life with no authority or control. In fact, it holds the key to every solution to every problem on earth. We also see that this life is one of resurrection. If a person has not shared in the death of Christ to self, then they are unable to host this life of change. The Life of Change: Knowing Him

Our impact on another's life will only be as efficient and effective as our knowledge of God's Son in us. Many have ceased in their pursuit to know Christ in a deeper manner, leaving them to be of little use in the kingdom. Jesus called twelve, that they could be with Him, not to do errands for Him. Our primary pursuit should be knowing Christ. For how can we share Him if we do not know Him? Jesus tells his disciples that they are to be the salt of the earth. Salt is an important ingredient in being a vessel of change. Salt sanitizes and purifies whatever it comes into contact with. The Life of Change: A New Cruse

The first call to being a vessel of change is to become a new cruse or container. To be made new God has to remake you into a vessel that is different from who you are now. For God to use us to bring change we must first be emptied of all the old life. We must bring ourselves so that God can produce a change in us that we then can influence a change into others. Have you been made new? The second aspect of this is God's liberty. When we are made new God frees us from the old. Our liberation in Christ is how we can bring liberation to others.
