Meet Ash

Ash is a local Slam poet who made a big splash at the 2022 Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival with their original poetry.  There, they won a Staff Favorite Award.  The Box hosts a Slam poetry competition through Wasatch Wordsmiths monthly--the last Monday of the month.  Ash recently won a 2nd place prize.  They are now featured in Wasatch Theatre Company's upcoming production of THE LARAMIE PROJECT playing October 6-15 at the Midvalley Performing Arts Center.

Everybody Has a Story: September 11

Wasatch Theatre Company has created a new initiative called EVERYBODY HAS A STORY that attempts to capture Utah stories and share them with others.  We will be gathering and presenting these stories monthly, the third Sunday of the month.  Sometimes, the theme will be provided, and sometimes it will be more open-ended.   In September, the theme was "September."  We received one beautiful submission from Becky Davis, a local actor, entitled "September 11" about how she worked to share the incidents of that horrific day with her son and what she ended up learning about empathy and love. #wtcstories #wasatchstories #everybodyhasastory
