They Told Me I’d Be in a Wheelchair at 46 , Now I Walk Pain Free - Mikey Thompson - CPI Podcast
At 46, Mike was told the next step was a wheelchair. After seven back surgeries, years of complications, and brutal nerve pain, he was using a catheter, relying on heavy painkillers, and even remodeling his bathroom for disability access. With two kids at home, the idea of becoming permanently disabled felt crushing, and he was running out of options.
A fellow musician noticed his pain and told him about CPI Stem Cells in Tijuana. Mike researched, compared alternatives, and decided to take one last shot at getting his life back.
Here at CPI, he received 18 targeted injections and 50 million stem cells delivered intrathecally. In the weeks that followed, his nerve pain faded, his mobility returned, and the catheter doctors said would be permanent was no longer needed. Today he walks unassisted, travels, plays drums again, and says he feels 20 years younger.
CPI does not promise miracles and not every case is the same, but this episode is proof that even when you have been told you are out of options, hope may still exist.
