Breast Cancer: A Faith Test

Today, we share a new "Faith Test": My breast cancer diagnosis. We love the definition of Faith: "Commitment Before Knowledge." This is another opportunity to walk with a limp. Jacob wrestled with God and, forever after, walked with a limp. It is an opportunity to present ourselves as living sacrifices, for if even one person is drawn closer to Jesus Christ. We have studied the Shema recently: Deut. 6:4-5. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Dr. Meredith Travelstead from The Woman's Clinic was the Mission Speaker. She spoke on the mission of the American Society to advocate and support patients. She encouraged us to be "the tribe" in support of our breast cancer heroes. "We THE TRIBE have hope and that is why we fight. Let's continue this fight TOGETHER with our breast cancer heroes!"

Mr. Frank Pan - "Jesus loves the WHOLE world, even Cambodia"

He is a Survivor of a "real life concentration camp" in his home country of Cambodia. His father was killed in front of him. He was separated from his mother and family at 6 years old. He was placed in a work camp and fed once a day. He escaped at 10 years old on foot, and eventually, he found his mother at a special meeting place.
