The STAR WARS Problem...

Ever since the Sequel Trilogy of Star Wars movies, the franchise as a whole has divided its fanbase further and further with the release of every new project. Returning to the big screen with the recent release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the franchise and its future may be in the most contentious and stalemated position to date and seems to keep repeating the same issues it has faced for the better part of the past decade... This week, we discuss what we feel Star Wars as a whole is missing and the prevailing issues that continue to arise with each project. We discuss how the best projects are few and far between and how our faith in the franchise in general has faltered even more following The Mandalorian and Grogu. This week, following the final episode of Prime Video's The Boys, we share our thoughts on the fifth and final season as a whole as well as our thoughts on the finale itself and its impact on the show! We share our thoughts on the fates of the shows longest running characters such as Hughie Campbell, Billy Butcher, Starlight, and of course Homelander, as well as characters like Mother's Milk, Kimiko, Frenchie, Ashley, and The Deep. We discuss the pacing of the final season and how it reflects on the previous entries into The Boys' Universe including two seasons of Gen V. We of course discuss the now infamous Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, as well as other major franchises such as The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, Fast & Furious and other major movie franchises. We also discuss the wider problems of movie sequels in the Comedy Movie Genre that fail to recapture the humor of the original or are dragging out the same story without end, such as The Hangover sequels.
