The Otherwise Intelligent Woman podcast
Jamie is a content writer and Instagram consultant for parenting and family-focused businesses. Jamie knew she always wanted to be a writer, so she studied journalism and then went on to work as an editor for local magazines and newspapers. After having her two sons, Jamie started freelancing on small projects and was then asked to be the Director of Communications for a behavioural health facility, which was a dream job, but the structure of the 9 to 5 was no longer for her. Jamie and I discuss what it means to put yourself out there on Instagram as a business owner, and how we learned to get past the fear of judgement from other people. Jamie also shares how she was able to get past decision fatigue and worry around new job opportunities, by reminding herself she always has a choice and can always leave. We also get into the things we miss about the 9 to 5 grind and the things that we were happy to see go.
