Kirsten Bernthal Booth- Creighton Volleyball Head Coach

In this episode, I talked with Creighton's head volleyball coach, Kirsten Bernthal Booth. We dug into her childhood and how she made a decision between playing tennis and volleyball at the collegiate level. She detailed a career which saw her go from high school assistant to D-I head coach in only a few short years. We also talked about her focus on mental preparedness and self-talk as it relates to athletes.

In this episode, I talked with Dirk Chatelain. We discuss growing up in small town Nebraska and how that shapes attitudes towards Nebraska sports and media. Finally, we talked about his fascinating exploration of North Omaha's race, sports, and culture in his book "24th & Glory."
