EP#19: Attending start-up event by IIT Bombay together | MBA Chaiwala Controversy by Uttkarsh Singh

In this episode with Uttkarsh Singh, we have discussed a lot about both  of us attending an event called Eureka'21 by IIT Bombay in December  2021. We have also shed some light on the recent internet controversies  related to Prafull Billore, founder of MBA Chaiwala, and Love Babbar regarding his controversy of leaving Amazon for creating content on  YouTube.    Uttkarsh is a final year student at Vellore Institue of Technology,  Bhopal. He has recently grabbed a job offer from an American Company. He also has a background in running an ed-tech start-up called EdDify. We have some very strong points to argue related to the current scenarios of popular ed-tech start-ups like Byju's, WhiteHat Junior, and  Unacademy.    We have further discussed how small-scale Indian shops of Pani-puri sellers, grocery stores, etc. can get leverage through social media. We had a common belief where we both agreed that with the right usage of social media these small-scale start-ups can think of making big in the market.    Attaching below are the timestamps through which you can join the  conversation at your desired location: 00:00 - Introduction and deep questions from previous guests  01:01 - How did he get a job in an American MNC?  02:13 - How did both of our start-ups get selected for Eureka'21 by IIT Bombay?  04:45 - How is he running a start-up already and still choosing to sit for placements to get a job?  06:03 - Company policies for hiring people already working in a start-up  07:54 - Love Babbar case with Amazon  09:09 - What is his start-up EdDify all about?   10:57 - The loophole that they're trying to fill in the Ed-Tech industry  14:20 - How students are trapped by the start-ups and get fired later on?  16:49 - Why students should think twice before joining a start-up?  19:12 - What are sustainable development and renewable energy?  22:42 - Are there any start-ups working in the sustainable development sector?  26:32 - Why do start-ups by IITians do a lot of cash burn and eventually fail?  27:18 - What are positive and negative cash flows?  29:09 - How a Grocery Shop owner is a better entrepreneur?  29:48 - Viral LinkedIn post regarding multiple branches of a Gol Gappe wala. 3 1:15 - Are we living in the Venture Capitalist Bubble?  32:34 - MBA Chaiwala Controversy  35:58 - His strategy to make big on Social Media.  38:29 - His future Plans I'm Sankalp Chauhan, a computer science student studying at KIIT  University and I love to make videos on technology, study habits, vlogs,  entrepreneurship, and development.  I am a passionate programmer, with a keen interest in web development.  Apart from all this, I love to travel and explore new destinations.  I like to make videos with the purpose of helping as many people as possible.
