As we enter 2012 I took a reflective look back over some of the great music I have encountered this year from all genres, but in particular I was struck by a soulful vibe which seemed to fit the moment. Here is the result of that feeling – a rough n' ready, impulsive mix that had me digging around the crates to feed that need for soulful tunes in that moment. This is by no means a run-down of new soul tunes from 2011 – merely the result that came about after adopting a reflective state of mind. Enjoy... and a Happy New Year to you all! ... CC

House? Check. Disco? Check. Funk? Check. Soul? Check. This ones got a few twists and turns to keep you guessing, but keeps it upbeat throughout.
