Welcome to Episode 25 of the U23 Triathlon Podcast. We are here with Coach Jim Vance, best known for helping Ben Kanute become one of the most versatile triathletes in the sport. In addition to being a high performance coach with Formula Endurance, Coach Vance is also an author and sport technology and training consultant. He was the head coach of our Junior Elite Select Camp at the Olympic Training Center back in the fall and taught us a lot about his training techniques and philosophies

Welcome back to the U23 Triathlon Podcast. Today we are talking with U23 triathlete Chase McQueen. Chase is a rising senior at Arizona State University pursuing a career in finance, investment banking and marketing. He ran track and field and cross country at the University of Arizona before transferring to ASU and joining Project Podium. As a Junior Elite, Chase placed 3rd at Nationals in 2015, 2nd in 2016, and 2nd in 2017 and we are happy to welcome him to the show. I hope you enjoy.

Welcome to Episode 23 of the U23 Triathlon Podcast. On this episode, we talk to Junior Elite Liberty Ricca from Colorado Springs. Liberty is a recent high school graduate on her way to ASU to race with the Sun Devil Triathlon Team. She represented Team USA in the Youth Olympic Games qualifier in Salinas, Ecuador and is one of the most consistent athletes on the elite circuit.

As I mentioned in Episode 21 with Parker Spencer and Project Podium, I was headed to Tucson, Arizona with Eli Hoppenfeld, Mac Howie and Ethan Nordman to train with Kira Stanley and our coach Mandy Stanley. Since Kira was my first official interview on the podcast, we thought it would be fun to record a group interview and talk a little bit about our week together. Since everyone has a lot of driving to do on their way to and from Pleasant Prairie, maybe this will help pass the time. Hope to see you this weekend. Enjoy!

Welcome to Episode 21 of the U23 Triathlon podcast. School is finally over so hopefully we can get more episodes out every couple of weeks. We actually recorded this interview with Project Podium’s Parker Spencer awhile ago but wanted to tack on another interview with Elite Nathan Cohen of Full Send Triathlon. Nathan recently accepted his elite license and wanted to share some advice for younger athletes so we were able to meet up with him in Richmond for an interview. I am headed to Arizona tomorrow for a training camp with Eli Hoppenfeld, Ethan Nordman, Mac Howie, Kira Stanley, and my coach, Mandy Stanley but then am headed to Pleasant Prairie the following week. I’ll be posting to the story while we are in Arizona so be on the lookout for that. Before we start our interview, I wanted to review the results from Richmond: - The Junior Elite female podium was Lucy Westlake, Makenna Gates and Hope Frost. - The Junior Elite male podium was Nick Holmes, Davis Bove and Will Locascio. - The Youth Elite female podium was Clara-James Heer, Faith Dasso and Jenna Buchanan. - The Youth Elite male podium was Lawson McCleod, Noah Peterson and Eli Derr. - The CAMTRI Sprint American Cup male podium was Martin Sobey, Darr Smith and Charles Paquet. - The CAMTRI Sprint American Cup female podium was Marissa frante, Erin Edminster and Anabel Knoll
