Episode 33: Mad Libs, clearly, are not our strong suit.

Public Pool Skin Infection. Goblin Cock. Three-Inch Infection (I'm sensing a theme...). The Taco Bell Three. Run For Cover. What's in a band name, anyway? What makes a good one? This week, once we get past all of Jase's insecurities, rob Mike of his innocence, and toy with Nick's fragile emotions, we eventually get down to the business of band names. Back in the day, you could name your band anything you wanted, change it, change members, etc. and no one would care. In the modern age of social media, a band needs to consider all things and all possible permutations of things to come related to the band name (including what the acronym of the band might be; I'm looking at you, Jimmy Eat World). We call this "branding." And from the outset, you need to not only name your band something cool, clever, catchy, and fun, you must also be original (meaning, don't name your band "The Guess Who" when there's already a band called "The Who" in popularity). We have some fun with a band name generator and go over some of our favorite and least favorite band names. You might even learn a thing or two! The love is fast, but it's ugly. Thanks to everyone who's come out to our shows, either deliberately or because your friend dragged you out to the bar that night. We recently played the Barton Orchards Food Truck festival; a staggering 6-hour gig; five 45-minute sets punctuated by great food, beaitiful weather, adorable puppies, and local whiskey.
