The first place we should be creating disciples is within our home - as parents, it's our privilege and responsibility to disciple our children. The best way to do that is by being an example of a life lived for Christ. And the best way to do that, is to have a hunger for studying the Word. The more we study and know the Word of God, the better we are able to impart a firm foundation of faith and critical thinking skills to our kids. How do you find true rest? I'm talking about the kind of rest and peace that sustains you through the valley AND mountaintop seasons. The kind of rest that others look at your life and ask you how you seem to be handling it so well. That kind of rest only comes from surrendering to the Lord. And the only way we can truly surrender to the Lord is to build a relationship with Him. You can't build a relationship with someone without getting to know their character.
